This kit contains the upgraded cable kit and 150Amp solenoid, AP81129275.
These parts together really help with getting more power from the battery to the starter motor which in turn aids with cranking the motor over quicker and easier on start up. And it also helps with preserving the sprag clutch.
They are a straight forward fit and come supplied with instructions. A great modification to make to preserve your brilliant bike and keep it ready for riding whenever you want it.
I purchased this kit along with the battery (see electrical section) for my 2003 Tuono. The components are of great quality and well finished which is really nice to see. Fitting wise it takes a couple or hours but fairy straight forward. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Tip; when loosening the engine to frame M6 cap head bolt (on rear cylinder head) be sure to remove the coolant expansion tank for line-of-sight access with a 3/8 ratchet and medium extension bar. Let the expansion tank hang down during this part of the fitment then reattach after. Take time to reorganise the harness beside and below the tank to prevent any pinching of wiring, then cable tie once it’s all good. Cables can be a bit stiff to work with in and around the battery box/starter relay area but take time to ensure they are orientated correctly before torque tightening the necessary fasteners.
