What is the 'dog bone' and why is it important to keep it serviced and in full working order on your Aprilia motorcycle?

AP Workshops have produced this short video that explains how to remove, inspect, service and refit it and the potential impact if left unattended? It is basically that over time the linkage bearings could seize resulting in the dog bone snapping and the suspension collapsing. Unfortunately we have seen too many bad things happen with this part of the bike and can't stress enough the importance of keeping this area in tip top condition.
