Aprilia motorcycle Lambda sensor, part number AP0266030.

This is a direct replacement for the one fitted in the factory and works by measuring the amount of oxygen (O2) in the exhaust system.

It works alongside the ECU to maintain and adjust the air to fuel mixture until it reaches close to a near perfect ratio therefore preventing the mixture from becoming either too lean, which is high in air and less in fuel, or too rich, which is high in unburnt fuel and less in the air. In either of those cases, the combustion process is not efficient.
