In order to keep your brilliant bike moving along smoothly, your sprocket carrier bearings need to be in tip top condition. If you notice any form of 'rumbling' sound when you spin the wheel or can move it freely from side to side when it should be solid, the chances are that the bearings need to be replaced.
As this is a direct replacement part for the one fitted in the factory, it should go in with relative ease.
